VFC Fight Results for VFC 32 in full detail follow, and, in short order, video via Mark Bader from Purefight.org will also be posted on Midwest Fighters Focus as he makes it available to us!  (Thanks Mark!)

Fight 1:  Vernon Harrison vs Levi Handley

Round 1:  Both swing, miss and hit each other before Handley garners the takedown into side control.  Light GNP by Handley as Harrison looks to hold him down and search for a better position.  Harrison gets a quick reversal and a quick guillotine attempt but from half guard and Handley escapes.  Harrison gains full guard and Handley tries to GNP while Harrison stuffs most striking attempts.  End of round one ends in the same condition, and MFF scoring gives the round 10-9 to Handley.

Round 2: Both again swing for the fences and it appears that when Harrison stuns Handley, Handley goes for the take down and secures it and grabs the mount.  Handley gets what should have been a submission arm bar but Harrison takes the bends and twists in his arm like a challenge and escapes the attempt.  Harrison motions for Handley to stand and although they do briefly, Handley takes Harrison down again.  They end in similar fashion to round 1 and MFF scoring again gives the round to Handley, 10-9.

Round 3:  Harrison absolutely rocks Handley with an unanswered multiple punch and kick combo with Handley now shaky on his feet.  Handley dives in for the takedown and gets it in his own corner.  Light ground and pound by Handley but most seems to not be getting through as Harrison does a great job controlling posture and hand control.  They remain that way for about two minutes of the round and Harrison finally rises to his feet with Handley holding onto the leg against the fence.  Round 3 MFF gives to Harrison 10-9 for the lack of any offensive output by Handley other than the takedown.

MFF Scoring:  29-28 Handley
Judges Scoring:  Winner is Handley scored 30-27 by the judges.

Fight 2:  Ryan Rote vs Brad Andersen

Round 1:  Anderson comes out kicking and striking and gets a takedown to side mount where he begins to punish Rote with knees and seemingly wants to keep Rote down and against the cage.  Andersen is landing effecting GNP and eventually moves into top mount.  He goes for a front choke and Rote refuses to tap.  Rote rolls though and Anderson takes his back.  As Rote goes to roll out, Anderson quickly grabs an arm bar and finally forces the tap out of Rote in Round 1.

Round 2:

Round 3:

Fight 3:  Miles Marshall vs Brian Houston

Round 1:  Houston appears to be overpowering Marshal but in a slick move into better position Miles gains his back and tries the RNC for quite some time before letting it go and landing heavy shots down on Houston.  Houston attempts to scramble out but Marshall retains the back and continues to strike.  Houston appears unhurt by any of the strikes and ultimately escapes into side control on top of Marshall.  Houston does some GNP but Marshall avoids any heavy damage.  MFF Scoring:  10-9 Marshall for winning the first two minutes of the round.

Round 2:  Houston's two takedown attempts are thwarted and the third clinch brings them to the cage with Marshall's back against it.  They pummel off and Houston lands a nice left hook.  Marshall returns the favor with a hard knee and grabs a takedown which Houston reverses, and the two scramble for position.  Houston eventually lands in Marshall's guard and the two trade light blows until the end of the round.  MFF Scoring:  10-9 Houston.

Round 3:  As they begin the round, both attempt kicks and an inadvertent groin shot to Marshall by Houston as both were throwing kicks brings a halt to the action.  Houston gets a takedown and after a little GNP, Marshall quickly moves to full guard.  A scramble to standing and Houston throws unanswered knees and after they break, Houston is sent to the ground but Marshall lands into a triangle position that Houston can't get to quick enough.  A scramble by both leads to the end of the round.  MFF Scoring:  10-9 Marshall

Judges score it a split decision, 30-27 Marshall, 29-28 Houston, and 30-27 Marshall.

Fight 4:  Emanuel Morales vs Steve Lucchino

Round 1:  Both are looking for the opening standing and Lucchino appears to be getting the advantage.  A kick to the knee appears to have snuck up to the groin as Morales asks for a break from the action.  The ref grants his wish and after the action resumes, Lucchino peppers him with strikes and kicks, one leg kick sending Morales to the ground.  Lucchino continues to stalk Morales who is backing up and moving to avoid Lucchino's aggressive demeanor and the round comes to an end.  MFF Scoring 10-9 Lucchino.

Round 2:  Lucchino continues to stalk Morales who is now trying to counter Lucchino and is having some luck, but Lucchino is still getting the better of the standup.  A scramble leads to Morales in a weak guillotine initially up against the fence which he tries to improve but Lucchino moves to a modified side control to combat the attempt.  Lucchino escapes and tries to reverse Morales into a guillotine but that fails with both now at a stalemate against the fence.  They scramble to their feet and Lucchino continues to attack the legs with kicks and striking for the KO but it doesn't come before the end of Round 2.  MFF Scoring:  10-9 Lucchino.

Round 3:  Leg kicks by Lucchino have Morales running and limping as he continues to try and counter punch.  One leg kick too many and Morales times it, grabs the leg and garners the takedown.  Lucchino holds him tight in full guard and begins landing elbows from the bottom.  The ref stands the fighters and Lucchino lands another hard kick and Morales catches enough of the legs to send Lucchino down, more due to the slippery mat than the attempt at a take down.  Lucchino regains his feet with his back against the fence and the two appear to be in a stalemate.  Lucchino pummels off and strikes to the end of the round.  MFF Scoring:  10-9 Lucchino.

Judges Scoring:  30-27 Lucchino

Fight 5:  Jordan Johnson vs Mark Nuygen

Round 1:  By the way both are swinging and kicking, it appears someone wants the knockout.  Nuygen, for his part, can swing his hands with amazing speed and power for coming from a smaller package than Johnson.  Both trade punches and kicks, both looking for the other to make a mistake.  Jordan goes for the takedown and Nuygen stuffs it.  Again circling the cage and now slowing down on the striking attempts, both hit each other with strong punches but neither gives in.  Jordan Johnson then locks in a front choke standing that renders Nuygen completely unconscious.

Round 2:

Round 3:

Fight 6:  Charlie Dubray vs Sean Wilson

Round 1:  Dubray strikes first only grazing Wilson and Wilson answers back shortly after with a hard right.  Dubray answers with a takedown but Wilson reverses into Dubray's full guard.  Both scramble and Dubray eventually lands in Wilson's guard and into a guillotine early in the first causing Dubray to tap to the submission.  Wilson via guillotine in first.

Round 2:

Round 3:

Fight 7:  Demetrius Richards vs Razak Al-Hassan

Round 1:  Al-Hassan lands several leg kicks which Richards seems to have had enough of and he eventually garners a takedown first to side control then Al-Hassan gets full guard.  The two seems content to scramble on the ground and eventually Al-Hassan gets Richards back and appeared to have the RNC twice but either let him out to strike or Richards moved enough to escape.  Richards reverses to side control and lands a couple strikes and the two stay in this position willing to keep the stalemate in hand.  MFF Scoring 10-9 Al-Hassan.

Round 2:  Takedown attempt by Richards is stuffed twice as Al-Hassan peppers away at Richards head and legs.  A short stay against the fence and Al-Hassan moves to mount.  Richards rolls and gives up his back and Al-Hassan again looks for the RNC and this time secures it to gain the win via RNC in Round 2.

Round 3:

Fight 8:  Ryan Roberts vs Eric Marriott

Round 1:  Roberts lands a good left lunging hook near the beginning of the round that backs Marriott up but makes him smile.  Both have exchanged good leg kicks and as Roberts begins a multiple punch/kick combination he slips to the mat and Marriott lands on top.  Roberts becomes almost hyperactive as he regains his feet and sends a flurry of punches Marriott's way.  Inadvertent knee to Marriott's groin by Roberts halts the bout momentarily and the two start again in the center of the cage.  The two seem content to test each others standup in the center of the round.  Double left hook by Roberts backs Marriott up but he doesn't seem to be hurt.  A scramble leads to Roberts being on top of Marriott up against the cage in Marriott’s open guard as Marriott seems to be searching for a Roberts mistake to get a submission.  Roberts continues to GNP and the ref quickly stands them up.    Another two hard punches and several more seem to daze Marriott and the two scramble to the ground to end the round.  MFF Scoring:  10-9 Roberts.

Round 2:  Marriott tries to kick but Roberts nearly grabs it for the takedown.  A Roberts kick is met with a straight right and the two trade solid and glancing blows willingly in the center of the cage.  A lull as the two wait for the other to make a mistake.  Marriott now seems to want to time Roberts and pepper him with shots, but Roberts seems willing to take a few to give a few.  A minute and a half left in round two and Roberts seems to be getting the advantage standing.  Head kick by Marriott lands and he shoots for a takedown but Roberts seems unfazed and stuffs it, landing on top in a north south position.   Marriott tries to stand but Roberts keeps him down up to the ten second mark. At the buzzer, Roberts lands a couple strikes that sends Marriott to the ground to bring an end to the round.  MFF Scoring:  10-9 Roberts

Round 3:  Marriott seems more aggressive this round but his takedown is rebuffed and Roberts initially lands in side control, which Marriott quickly changed to alternating open and closed guard.  Roberts passes to half guard as Marriott looks to sweep but Roberts keeps his weight and hips close as Marriott goes for the knee bar and Roberts avoids it.  Roberts gets the takedown into guard and is trying to pepper away at Marriott but they are again stood up quickly by the ref.  The left jab for Roberts, which has been there all night, has bloodied the nose, lips and mouth of Marriott.  A wild right send Marriott to the ground of his own accord and in short order, Roberts tags him with several hard shots and lands back in the guard.  A scramble leads to a knee bar that was tight and Roberts works his way out, with Marriott seemingly letting go of the knee bar attempt altogether.  Roberts is back in half guard up against the fence to end the round on top of Marriott.  MFF Scoring:  10-9 Roberts

Winner via judges unanimous decision Ryan Roberts.  For his speech, Roberts got the biggest hand of the night when he answered what the difference has been for him lately when he said "I trained, and stayed out of jail!”

Fight 9:  Drew Dober vs Jimmy Seipel

Round 1:  Both come out swinging hard and land in a clinch with Dober up against the fence.  Dober pummels off and the two exchange against with Seipel appearing to wants to garner a takedown.  Now striking center cage, a Dober kick lands square south of the border sending Seipel to the ground.  A break in the action from the low blow as Seipel attempts to regain his strength.  Both want to trade blows and as Dober seems to be getting the better of things slightly, Seipel goes for the takedown which Dober almost reverses in mid throw.  Seipel retains position however a scramble leads to Dober landing in Seipel's guard.  They trade blows and Dober eventually moves t back control with both hooks in.  Dober attempts the RNC but it starts on the chin.  Seipel fights on the attempt, only to have Dober attempt it again but the arm seems too high as Siegel continues to battle two hands to one to fight it off.  Dober remains on his back to end the round.  MFF Scoring:  10-9 Dober.

Round 2:  The old cup had "issues", so Seipel changes out between rounds causing a slight delay in the action as the equipment is replaced.  Round two shows both wanting to strike again and Seipel gets a flash takedown only to have Dober reverses it and stand with Seipel's back against the ground.  A slip seemingly causes Dober to drop and a near guillotine by Seipel is defended by Dober coming out to side control.  Dober gains the mount and begins to rain down punches, forearms and elbows.  Seipel, I have to say, in this fight, just showed me his heart because Dober pounded and pounded on Seipel and he fought valiantly to the end that came due to strikes in Round two.

Hats off to both of these fighters, as both impressed me in similar and dissimilar ways, but impressed me nonetheless.  Great, great competition to watch fellas.

On some final notes, Matt Delanoit came by and gave MFF some of his Joe Rogan impressions, which was funny stuff, and several of the fighters before and after stopped by to give us a thumbs up for what we do here at MFF (a special thanks to you Ryan Roberts!).

On our final, final note, surprise endings for MFF Staff?  Roberts, impressive 3 round win.  Miles Marshall over Brian Houston was an impressive event to watch, by both fighters, and hats off to Miles for pulling it off as most had counted him out of this one.  And P-Town does submissions??? What the heck is going on in MMA?

God bless the fighters for doing what you do, each and every one of you.

MFF Staff
